Identifying great resources.

Typically, we look outside our company for answers, best practices, and advice. We benchmark our success on leaders in our industries - both individual leaders and leading companies. But most often, the resource we turn to for knowledge and support on a daily basis is within our own walls - someone we have a good working relationship with, someone we feel comfortable reaching out to. These individuals have a desire to learn from one another and leverage information outside their office, through associations, publications, conferences, and higher education.

These are the qualities found in our membership. A membership that compliments one another with their breadth of knowledge and expertise in our industry, with a williness to be a resource for one another.

This month we are making it easier for you to reach out to your ADAPT colleagues as a resource. Our first step is by putting our membership directory online. Not only is it more accessible, but it will also be most current with your help. Please take a moment to make sure your information is accurate. E-mail adapt_pr@adapttrain.org with any changes or updates.

The next step is to provide an additional communication tool where more of our members can participate easily and more often - our electronic newsletter. The publication is intended to provide members with tips, best practices, useful articles that will help you be successful everyday. It will be an archived resource that you can access on our website whenever your next challenge presents itself.

Please take a moment to contribute to our newsletter - a brief fact, a well referenced book on your desk, a compelling journal or magazine you subscribe-to, and/or a timely article that came your way… E-mail adapt_pr@adapttrain.org with any contribution!

Making it easier to seek answers to “today’s challenge” at work is one reason we are trying to make ADAPT easier for you to access – electronic newsletter, online membership directory, website, monthly meetings, ITTC.
