Think Globally, Act Locally…ADAPT.

Many of the skills we seek to sharpen at work go unfulfilled, because of the limited time we devote to our own professional development. Time does not allow us to dialog with our co-workers. We are too busy reacting to re-defined roles, increased responsibilities, changing technology, and limited resources.

That’s why ADAPT members make an extra effort to identify and take advantage of outside resources.

We find the time to research new topics and explore concepts and processes in more detail.

We look to benchmark with leading companies, through the networking opportunities our association provides to us. We engage with clients, vendors, and industry peers and understand that sharing is the most powerful part of learning.

ADAPT provides us with several opportunities to share our skills - writing reviews, submitting articles for our newsletters, advertising and networking through our website. Our most notable resource is our monthly meeting.

As our annual election of Officers approaches, I’d like to draw your attention to three specific areas where a few minutes each month, would have a tremendous impact on both you and our organization: Program Committee, Newsletter Committee, and Membership Committee. (Actually, we are all part of the Membership Committee, but we need one/two additional members to provide structure to our outreach program.)

These are just a few ways your involvement can benefit both you and our organization. Each requires a little bit of perspiration on your part.

So don’t wait for the right time to get involved…the right time is now!
