When you have the opportunity to work on a project with a diverse and knowledge group of colleagues, you can't help but benefit from the experience. Contributing, sharing, and implementing have their own rewards. But if you are truly lucky, you'll find yourself in a special situation where, as learning happens, friendships flourish. That experience is what ADAPT provides for so many of us.

Our volunteers continue to identify and present topics of interest that not only spark us to get involved, but motivate us to share our knowledge with our peers. These volunteers take great effort in presenting ADAPT in the best light possible - in print, on the web, in our meetings. They don't just accept one task; they are hungry for more - look at ITTC. Though maybe considered an oxymoron, involvement can be a healthy addiction.

The success of our association is not product specific, not industry specific, it's people specific. People who like to learn from one another. People who give their most valuable resource - time. Be it the nature of our industry, or the nature of our profession, we 'training folks' can't help ourselves to enough 'learning opportunities.' Maybe we are presenting, maybe we are developing, each time we are growing. True, some of us are just sitting back and growing older. But if you want to do that gracefully, may I suggest stepping forward to assist our Board?

Nominations for next year's Board positions are now being accepted. I hope you take the time to contribute, and take advantage of the season… by SPRINGing into action!

Tim
