ADAPT – Named “Best Association”, 2004.

…in case anyone was asking for my opinion.

Will all the emphasis on polling, voting, selecting, appointing – it’s clear that our society sees value in gauging performance on a regular basis.

Our companies strive to provide us with the tools necessary to be more efficient in our jobs. They evaluate our progress weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually – but do we take the time to evaluate our own personal and professional achievements on a regular basis?

ADAPT provides us with that opportunity several times each month. Whether it’s involvement in our committees, hosting a meeting, contributing to our newsletter, engaging in our monthly events – charting a successful course is an ongoing commitment. Fortunately for ADAPT, we benefit through your achievements, both individually and as a group.

These skills strengthen as we take steps to improve our association. Making yourself available through our membership directory is a start. Attending and participating at our monthly meeting is compounded when you invite a colleague to attend with you. Contributing a brief fact, book, journal, or article to our newsletter, helps us all learn collectively. And identifying presenters and/or hosting an upcoming meeting at your company site, shows your management staff that you are recognized by your industry peers as a cherished resource.

So when they start handing out the awards, please let it be known…we are talking about you!
