Tim Ross When you look at buying a piece of real-estate, a place to call home, you need to extend yourself with what you can afford, and where you want to live. Where you live, how you live, the improvements to the home, reveals many things about you. In many ways, affiliation with an association can be as telling. Are you organized, present yourself and your company well, contribute, share, and engage with its members? The Association for Development, Advancement, and Productivity through Technology Training (ADAPT) has been providing a forum for learning for over 25 years. Our meetings, newsletters, website, and annual conference create the perfect setting for information sharing. It allows members the opportunity to ask questions, seek answers, and learn from one another about our ever-evolving industry. One of the reasons ADAPT continues to be successful is that we are flush with involvement and talent. Our members are plugged-in to the industry, representing the finest companies, individual organizations, and independent trainers and consultants. You'll find quality information published in our newsletters, and a website that is better than most corporate sites. We discuss leading topics at our monthly meetings, and share in the hospitality of our locations. And in a time of troubling conference attendance, delivered yet another, industry recognized Information Technology Training Conference (ITTC) with our cousins - The Hartford Area Trainers (HAT). With strong leadership, commitment, and vision from our members, ADAPT moves into a new fiscal year with a great foundation, both financially and structurally. The best way for our association to continue its success is to grow our membership by sharing our message and experience with others. Invite your colleagues and clients to an upcoming meeting. Include them in the mailing list for our newsletter. Send a personal invitation to visit our website. Keep one thing in mind, companies are represented in our organization but individuals make the decision to join. I look forward to you joining us for another exciting 'chapter in learning'. And remember, a home is just a structure. What you do with it is up to you. ADAPT is just a structure. What you do with it |
