President ADAPT

This is a pivotal year for ADAPT, a time of reinvention, consolidation and strengthening. If you find ADAPT beneficial – come support us; if not – let us know how we can better meet your needs, or better yet come help us accomplish it! We will be re-focusing on membership this year. This has been a neglected area in years past ,sort of the step child to ITTC which consumed so many of our volunteers. Along those lines we are holding the price of membership at last years rates until the September meeting. (See below)

Unfortunately, ITTC, as we had come to know it over thirty years, will not take place this year. A constellation of rising costs and diminished attendance, coupled with a lack of able bodied workers for committees made it prudent to cancel this year’s offering. We hope to have an expanded one-day May meeting with a keynote and several sessions, but at a much more contained level.

ADAPT and I thank all the ITTC committee workers for this year and years past for their devoted service. I particularly thank Jeanne Raymond for the hours and hours of effort on ADAPT’s behalf.

Luckily, we did get some new blood at the May ADAPT elections and I welcome all the board members to their new responsibilities. In particular, we are pleased to have Frank Quirk as our new Program Chair. He has been working on our Fall Schedule locations (listed below).  I expect to have an excellent year under his direction.

Please pre-register for the Sept meeting at Genzyme so that your security badges can be ready for you. I hope to see all of you at our Sept meeting,
